1. Explain why Pony might rather have anyone's hate than their pity (p.162)?
Ponyboy wouldnt want to have somebodies pity because that means that they look down at you for something you did or you dont have, and it could mean that they think there better then you.
2. What do you think is going on with Ponyboy when he says, "Johnny didn't have anyhing to do with Bob's getting killed" (p.166)?
I think Ponyboy means that the Johnny he knows wouldnt have killed Bob, Johnnys the pet, they easily loved one that would never harm anyone. Or maybe that he only killed him self defence so he didnt mean to kill him or he was juts trying to get him off of Ponyboy.
