1. How does Pony's dreaming, or lying to himself, finally work in this chapter?
Pony lying to himself helped him so he wouldnt go crazy knowing the fact that Johnny was really dead. It made him imagine the who thing was a dream and they were back in the vacant lot and nothing happened and Johnny was still there.
2. Why was Johnny's dying so difficult for Dally to handle?
Because Johnny was the only person Dally actually loved and understood him the most.
3. Why do you think Dally would have wanted to die?
Because he thought that with Johnny gone there was no point of him living, because the person he most cared about was gone and Dally couldnt take that.
